OBJECTIVE: Automated plastic media blasting systems are used to remove paint and other coatings on projects that vary from small automotive components to components for various aircrafts.
CUSTOMER CHALLENGE
Existing paint removal applications that used environmentally harsh chemicals needed to be updated and replaced with a system that would cut maintenance time and improve performance.
SOLUTION
Bishop-Wisecarver created a customized LoPro® linear guide system which enabled the customer to meet higher load requirements and reduce periodic maintenance. The new configuration also decreased labor requirements by
two-thirds.
